The mother of three, who is expecting baby number four with her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie, made it known in an interview monitored on TV that she won’t take such roles anymore because she feels she has outgrown them.
Explaining why she won’t be seen French kissing anyone on set anymore, she said, “Been there done that.
Age is telling on me (chuckles). Like if I just reason it if I do all that what would younger girls do? When you go past a certain level, you try to go above that level and do better.
You don’t need people to tell you what’s right or wrong and I just feel like I’ve gone past that level. I’m answerable to too many people, my husband, my kids, I’d hate to embarrass them in any way.
My daughter is all grown she gets a hold of my phone sometimes she begins to Google stuffs and they’re very inquisitive too. I don’t think it’s something I want to do to make my kids question me in any way or have some things in their mind that they want to ask and they can’t. I don’t think I want to do that.
Mercy Johnson also admitted that while it was challenging promoting her movie, ‘Legend of Inikpi’ which is currently being sold out in Cinemas nationwide, it was not too difficult for her as she has mastered the art of setting her priorities right.
“It’s challenging, it’s not easy for anyone but what has always worked for me is putting everything on a scale of preference.
For me it’s God first, family then work. So God has to be settled, my family has to be fine with what I’m doing or where I’m going to. I have to be certain the kids are fine, my husband is okay before I embark on any journey. My home front has to be stable before I go anywhere, if its not, no matter important that thing is, I just don’t do it,” she said.
