According to Box Office India BOI Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 teaser is out and we have to say it is absolutely fantastic. A visual treat, the teaser gives us an insight into what 2.0 is all about and introduces us to the cast as well as the story. While the grandeur and the performances have been getting a lot of praise on social media, some fans have been disappointed too. And while we advocate that the 2.0 teaser is really stunning and has got us really very excited, there have been a few that weren’t so happy. We have been tracking Twitter reactions and here are 3 things about the 2.0 teaser that people have not liked!

# Akshay Kumar’s blink and miss appearance: The superstar is the main antagonist in the film and everyone was excited to see his fierce avatar. However, he had a blink and miss appearance in the 2.0 teaser. Yes, we aren’t kidding! In fact, while he had just a 2 – 4 second screen time in the teaser, Amy Jackson got more than 5 seconds, while Rajinikanth got 40 seconds or more. This did not go down well with a lot of Akshay fans. But we feel that the makers want to guard his character and in the trailer, we are sure you will see more of him.

# Average VFX: With a budget of Rs 543 crore and so much time and effort in perfecting the VFX of the movie, everyone was expecting to watch an onscreen marvel. However, people who saw the YouTube version of the teaser and the people who saw it on their phones were not so happy. They complained that the VFX was quite average, especially in the scene where Chitti is using roller skates and when he is walking very weird. But the people who had seen the 3D version had different views. We guess we should just wait and see the movie in theatres to experience the real grandeur!

# Copied scenes: Yes, some fans have already started comparing scenes from the 2.0 teaser to similar scenes of other Hollywood films. Some people have mentioned how the makers weren’t original in some scenes. For example, the one scene where we see Akshay’s face in the form of mobile phones and Dr Vaasegaran looking at him, people have said that it is copy of a similar scene from Harry Potter showing Voldemort’s face or from a scene from The Mummy. Also the scene where Amy and Rajinikanth are looking at the growing dark skies is similar to the opening scene from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. What’s your take on all these points? Directed by Shankar and produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions and presented by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions (Hindi version only), 2.0 is the sequel to 2010 hit Enthiran.
