Breaking: BUK Extends Resumption Date to November 1st 2021, Gives Reasons

 

INFOMEDIA – Bayero University, Kano as extended the resumption date for the 2021/2022 new academic session to November1st, 2021.

INFOMEDIA reports that the university Senate at its 392nd meeting held on Wednesday, approved the new BUK resumption date.

A statement issued by the Secretary, Information and Publication, Lamara Garba, for the acting Registrar of the university, Malam Jamil Ahmed Salim said the decision to extend the resumption date was to accommodate many candidates whose 2021 SSCE results are yet to be release.

The statement, ‘’In view of the fact that , the NECO results would be officially released in the first week of October and the hope to give many candidates the chance to qualify for the admission, Senate decided to extend the resumption date by one month in order to accommodate as many candidates as possible to reduce the number of drop out.’’

According to the statement, the new session , 2021/2022 would now commence on November,1st , 2021, while lectures are to start by November 8th, 2021.

Recall that on the 6th of March, Bayero University, Kano scheduled its post UTME for the 2020/2021 academic session for Thursday, 18th  to 20th  March 2021.

The university said the portal for registration of the Aptitude Test for candidates that chose the institution as their first choice will be closed by midnight of Friday, 12 March 2021.

It, therefore, requested candidates to print their examination slip from Thursday, 15 March 2021, noting that printing of examination slip will continue up to midnight of Wednesday, 17 March.
