As part of efforts towards promoting, rebranding and firmly entrenching the root of journalism practice in campuses, Youths Digest in partnership with the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) is calling on student-writers and campus journalists across all tertiary institutions in North-West geo-political zone to participate in its maiden ‘Campus Journalism  Dialogue’ (CJD).
The dialogue, a 3-day event scheduled to hold in April 2019, calls for application from students of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Bayero University Kano (BUK), Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST), Kaduna State University (KASU), Yusuf Maitama Sule University-Kano, Usman Dan-Fodio University Sokoto (UDUS), Federal University Dutse-Jigawa, Sule Lamido University-Jigawa, Federal University Gashua-Yobe, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology Aliero-Kebbi, and Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) Katsina, among others, which are the participating schools.
Students of Mass Communication, gifted students with uncommon flair for creative writings, other independent student-writers from other departments and campus journalists can start sending their opinion articles, literary works, and news reports, among other genre of publications to [email protected], with “My CJD Application” as subject, together with the followings:

All applications should be forwarded on or before 28th of February, 2019.
50 applicants will be shortlisted and fully-sponsored to attend the CJD after a panel of judges comprising of seasoned journalists, accomplished academics and prolific writers, have assessed all entries.
Eminent resource persons, academics and celebrated Nigerian journalists will deliver talks on fake news, hate speech, social media and other contemporary issues affecting journalism practice in the 21st century, while also offering sound mentorship to the students.
Mouth-watering gifts and monetary prizes are also lined-up for participants who produce quality, authoritative, edifying and top-notch writings during the course of the event.
