The Northern Senators Forum, comprising all senators from the Northern region, has sacked Senator Abdullahi Adamu as its chairman.

He was immediately replaced with Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
This announcement was made by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, at the close of plenary on Wednesday.
The dismissed Senator had last week led nine other senators to criticise the amendment to the Electoral Act seeking to reorder the sequence of polls during general elections.
