Emir Bayero Appointed Chancellor of Al-Istikama University

INFOMEDIA – The management of Al-Istikama University, Sumaila has appointed the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, as the pioneer Chancellor of the University.
INFOMEDIA reports that the appointment was announced on Wednesday by the proprietor and the founder of the university, Alhaji Sulaiman Abdurrahmn Kawu Sumaila.
Al-Istikama University is a new private university located at the outskirt of Sumaila town, in Sumaila Local Government Area, Kano.

Kawu said the appointment is based on the emirs’ immense contributions to the education sector.
“The management of Al-Istikama University Sumaila appointed His Royal Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the pioneer chancellor for his mammoth contributions to the development of educational sector.
“His influence and the role he played in the establishment of the university are enormous,” he said.
While appreciating the management of the university, the Emir of Kano said he would do his utmost best for the progress and development of the university.
He said: “I most sincerely appreciate the management of Al-Istikama University for finding me worthy to serve as the pioneer chancellor of the university.
“This is an honor not only to me but to the entire people of Kano and the Kano Emirate council.”
The Emir of Kano is also the chancellor of University of Calabar, having been appointed in July, 2021 by the federal government.
