Gov. Ganduje Approves the Release of N300m Tuition Fees for Kano Indigenes in Cyprus

Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the release of three hundred million Naira as tuition fees for Kano state-sponsored students at Near East University, Cyprus.

INFOMEDIA reports that the Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure revealed this in a statement issued by the ministry’s spokesperson Sunusi A. Kofar Na’isa.

Dr. Bunkure said the payment is in line with the fulfillment of Ganduje’s promise to uplift the socioeconomic status of the teaming youth of the State through the provision of qualitative and timely education.

The Commissioner thanked them for the gesture and used the opportunity to congratulate both the students and their parents for such an overwhelming gesture, stressing the need to make the best use of the acquired knowledge for the betterment of Kano state and Nigeria at large.
