In their bid to change the narrative of the Hausa film industry popularly known as Kannywood, the trio of gentle giant producer Abubakar Bashir Mishadda, Kabiru Musa Jammaje and Ali Nuhu set to make what is believed to be the biggest, highest budgeted and most anticipated movie ever made in the history of Kannywood.
The award winning producer, Maishadda has been hinting on his different social media handle that, this year, the fans of Kannywood will witness a movie – The Right Choice – from Jammaje Production.
He gives an inkling of the collaboration between Jammaje Productions, who in the past years, made number of English movies that left with audience and cinema goers in awe.
The movie is said to assemble topnotch Nollywood and Kannywood biggies, and a whopping 25 million Naira has been budgeted for it.
Abubakar Bashir Maishadda took to his social media handle and wrote: “Breaking news! All is now set to shoot the biggest project ever in the history of Kannywood industry. The Right Choice, a multi million Naira project that has never hit your screen before.

Get set as shoot begins in January.” Kannywood supporters have been watching Hausa movies for three decades, and due socialization, few English films were produced to keep the trend and Nollywood-Kannywood relationship.
Jammaje, a prolific English teacher/writer, together with Bashir Maishadda produced There is a Way; This is a Way and In Search of the King – Kannywood English that recorded success in both local and international cinema.
Though, none of the movies assembled top Kannywood and Nollywood stars, and that maybe a reason for cinemagoers craving for it. The film’s direct approach to curb the menace of corruption is, in many ways, unprecedented in mainstream Kannywood cinema.
The producer hinted that The Right Choice demonstrates the power of being able to stand against oppressors and be courageous.# The story was created by Zahraddeen Kallah and the duo of Aminu Ahlan and Ilyasu Maikudi, who are being considered as Kannywood intellectual writers scripted it.
Ali Nuhu, a popular actor who is also being considered as a bridge between the major film industries in Nigeria – Nollywood and Kannywood – will roll camera to direct the movie.
According to Maishadda, the shooting of The Right Choice begins in 27th January, 2020 and about 30 days will be spent on the set.
