Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has gifted 100 Saudi riyals to each of the 3,121 pilgrims from Kano State for Sallah. The announcement was made by the deputy governor and State Amirul Hajj, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, during a visit to the Kano Pilgrims’ Camp at Mina in Saudi Arabia.

Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, head of the media team for Kano State pilgrims, disclosed that the governor had previously provided each pilgrim with N500,000 to complete their Hajj 2024 payment and an additional N150,000 for pocket money. In a further act of generosity, Alhaji Mijinyawa, CEO of Sahad Stores, gave 50 Saudi riyals to each Kano pilgrim as a Sallah gift.
The deputy governor encouraged pilgrims to pray earnestly for themselves, their families, and the progress and development of Kano State and Nigeria. He also visited all 44 local government area tents in Mina, accompanied by prominent officials, to express the government’s support and solidarity.
