An incessant and mysterious death has recently rocks Kano state which thrown panic and fear of 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic to repeat itself.
Though the causes of the inscrutable death has not been substantiated authoritatively as to whether the causes of the death was coronavirus due to conspiracy of silence by the Kano State Task Force on Covid-19.
The questions here is, what is the causes of the deaths? and why has the Kano state government chose to maintain a conspiracy of silence while people are dying?
While the above question remained unanswered. Last week Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje had publicly seeks 15 billion naira to fight coronavirus without presenting a workable at his disposal to curtail the spread of the virus, not minding if Lagos had waited for the 10billion which was later granted by FG, Nigeria would have been a red zone for coronavirus.
I don’t see any reason why Kano cannot afford to have state owned testing centre with testing kits, with more IGR and bulky Monthly FAAC.
What has Governor Ganduje been doing?
The level of silence from Governor Ganduje on the circumstances surrounding high rate of death and containing the deadly menace and spread of Covid-19 in the state is quite disheartening and alarming.
According to Dailytrust, in 6 days not less than 150 people where reportedly dead, still no word from the state Chief Security Officer.
Within two days 7 professors where also reportedly dead and other prominent personalities not to talk of the masses whose dead is never acknowledged by relevant authorities or are at the mercy of the media.
Had Muhammadu Sanusi II (Dethroned) remained the emir of Kano, the situation would have not been as its devastating end.
The only way out is an immediate intervention of the Federal Government to arrest the situation and Kano indigenes whom can in any way contributes his/her quoter should try and do so for the benefit of all.
