INFOMEDIA – Sakina Bello, a 300-Level student of Botany at Bayero University, Kano, said to have been abducted around Rijiyar Zaki area of the Kano metropolis, has reappeared.

Family sources and police confirmed the reappearance of the student, saying no ransom was paid as she escaped from the alleged abductors.

“She just used a phone to call her brother that she has escaped from the kidnappers,” said a family source who preferred not to be named.

He said the police have taken her to the hospital, adding that “no stone will be left unturned” to unravel the circumstances behind her disappearance.

On Wednesday the family raised alarm that Ms Bello was kidnapped around 3pm on Tuesday on her way back home in a commercial tricycle, known as Dansahu.

The abductors later called on Wednesday morning, and demanded N100million ransom.
