The presidency has confirmed the release of Dapchi schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed this to newsmen in Abuja.

“Yes, the girls are being transported to safety. We will give details later. We thank God,” he said.
Earlier, it was recall that the insurgents group returned the girls in nine vehicles, an episode similar to how they were taken away.
Shehu promised to give further details on the development later.
