The Kano State Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has stated heavy downpour was responsible for the absolute blackout witnessed in Kano recently.

Ibrahim added that the company is doing its best to satisfy consumers and also support economic growth in Kano Jigawa and Katsina.

He however cited a recent drop of 3,014 mega watts (mw) from monthly average of 3,578mw in August.

Furthermore in his report Kedco has spent a whopping sum of ₦100million In their effort to upgrade the line they use for power distribution, but all efforts to make ready for any improvement of the (MG) will be henceforth ready.

In the same vain he laments Kedco still under disconnection from the transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) as two of its feeders are under disconnection on account of demands for 100 percent payment on monthly basis while disco don’t get 100 percent from its customers .
