The Kano state private health institution management agency [PHIMA] under the state ministry of health, in a continue joint operation with the Nigerian Medical Association [NMA], have apprehended a female quack medical doctor, named Dr Christie John at Topcare specialist medical centre along Hadejia road, ‘Yan-Kaba in Nassarawa local government of the state.

The suspect said she was a medical student at ABU Zaria but could not cope and was ultimately withdrawn.  However, she secured another admission and ended up graduating with BSc Anatomy.

This was contained in a statement issued by Executive Secretary of Kano state private health institution management agency [PHIMA}, Dr Usman Aliyu and forwarded to INFOMEDIA on Tuesday.

In the statement, according to her, she joined Nigeria Police Force Clinic where she worked and gained more experience in medical practice for months before she was employed by Topcare Medical Center.

INFOMEDIA recalled that the joint operation of the agency and the association had on January,27th apprehended a suspected fake Medical Doctor, Ibrahim Adamu who engaged in the illegal act for years before his arrest.

The statement said before she was arrested at about 10 pm at the clinic on Sunday, 2nd of February, information available to the team indicates that she moves from one hospital to another.

”Her arrest was made possible with the support of some good samaritans in the area,” said the statement.

However, she has been handed over to the police for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.
