The Vice Chancellor Bayero University, Kano Prof. Muhammad Yahuza Bello was not infected by Coronavirus.
This is contained in a statement by the Secretary, Information and Publication Division Malam Lamara Garba and sent to INFOMEDIA on Saturday.
“Our attention has been drawn to fabricated and fake news which alleged that the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello was tested positive of the Corona Virus disease”, the statement reads in part.

The statement further read that, “For the avoidance of doubt, Professor Yahuza Bello has never been suspected of the disease nor was he even tested, because, there is no need for that. He is hale and hearty, please”.
In addition, “Members of the public should please ignore the purported news and consider it as fake, fabricated and of no basis whatsoever.
The Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello is not a member of the Task force chaired by the Deputy Governor of the state as claimed by the malicious news, such a claimed was fabricated by some elements who do not wish the University and people of Kano well”.
