The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Mohammed Nanono will commission a training and research farm at Bayero University Kano (BUK) on Friday.
INFOMEDIA reports that the farm is under the management of the Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA) of the university.

Director of the CDA, Jibrin M. Jibrin says Mr Nanono will also commission the Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) impact project won through a competitive World Bank grant of $5million.
Mr Jibrin said the CDA would work with relevant stakeholders to develop training, research and outreach programs that will have impacts on the livelihoods of the inhabitants of the dry land areas of West and Central Africa.
