Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has inaugurated a task force committee on COVID-19 to address the challenges posed by the disease.

According to the governor, the task force is expedient to ensure that prevention is better than cure in the state with regards to the pandemic.
The task force, which will be chaired by the Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, will assess the current situation of the disease in the state and advise the state government on how best to tackle the threats posed by the pandemic.
