BUK emerges as the best university in Nigeria—NUC 2018*
Bayero University Kano (BUK) has been rated the best university in Nigeria by National University Commission (NUC) 2018. This development followed the annual general meeting of the commission in Abuja yesterday.
Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, the chairman of the commission opined that when he was speaking about top ten universities in the country as in 2018. He stated that BUK is the no 1 best university among the top ten when the high quality education, good infrastructures, good administration, good learning condition, etc are taken into consideration.
He also drew the attention of the university stuff to multiply their effort in order to maintain this position. And to the other universities who happened to be among the top ten and those which have not been able to be among them, he said they too should increase their performance so that in the future they will be the best among the best. He finally congratulated all the universities which found themselves among the top ten, and BUK in particular.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor of the university, prof Yahuza Bello, expressed his happiness about this development and congratulated all the academic and non academic stuff for its their hardworking and patience that led the university to that priceless position.
He added that that was not the first BUK is regarded as one of the best universities in Nigeria. He prayed that BUK will remain the best university in Nigeria and the whole Africa by God grace.
