Post Nigeria published that Doyin Okupe, a former Aide of ex-Presidents, Goodluck Jonathan, and Olusegun Obasanjo, respectively, has said that Nigeria will not make progress, if former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, succeeds in his Presidential ambition, come 2019.

Recall, that Atiku, a former Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, last year.

He is currently one of the Presidential Aspirants of the opposition party.

However, Okupe stated that Atiku’s Presidency would draw Nigeria backwards, and that it will take the country ten years to recover from such.

Writing on Twitter, Okupe further disclosed that while he disagrees with Atiku becoming Nigeria’s President, it would be a different case with Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Post-Nigeria could vividly recall that Saraki had said recently stated that he is considering running against President Muhammadu Buhari, in the next election.

According to Okupe: “if Atiku rules Nigeria for 1 day, it will take us 10 years to recover. If Saraki rules for a day, Nigeria will make history.”
