Students of Bayero University, kano were engaged in a five days youth empowerment program powered by Fidelity Ban. The program was divided into five sections which includes make-up training, juice making, Tailoring, CIT, and designing. The students were given all the materials and tools for the training which includes weavons for the weavon making, the different fabrics for the tailoring etc.

The students were empowered by different tools after the program which includes Sewing machine, Glass cup, Weavon and Doll for practising hair dressing etc depending on their various learning skills. The students who participated in the program were filled with joy as they never expected the outcome.

Infomedia gathered that, many students missed the opportunity of participating in the program because of their previous experience with other groups who used to come with the so reason of empowering but at the end of the day, they will end up failing and not keeping their promise. A student interviewed has this to say “I regretted not participating because I thought they were going to ask for registration fee” one of the student had disclosed this to one of our reporters.

An anonymous source disclosed to Infomedia that “The empowerment program was only for few numbers of students in order to meet the targets and not make empty promises”
