The Department of Information and Media Studies, Bayero University, Kano has organized official get-together to commends the selfless service of Malam Mustapha Bichi to the department as he prepares to departs to Malaysia for his Ph.D degree.
The event took place at faculty of communication, Bayero University, Kano.
INFOMEDIA reports that Malam Mustapha is a lecturer with the department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.

And has been assisting the department in teaching Information related courses right from the take up of the department in 2016.
Earlier speaking, the head of the department, Dr Nura Ibrahim Ph.D described Malam Mustapha Bichi as one of the pillar of the dept for being selfless and diligent in his service to the dept.
He added that, “During accreditation of the department Malam Mustapha play an active role which resulted to the successful accreditation of the dept. Word alone is not enough to express our appreciation. On behalf of the department of information and media studies and by extension faculty of communication, we say thanks you”.
On his part, the Director Academic Planning, Professor Bala Sidi says “As we have satisfied with Mal Mustapha’s current conduct, that Insha Allah when he comes back he will be more dedicated, he will have more energy, and he will have been exposed to an environment that is totally different from ours and which I am quite sure we will benefit from wealth of experience when he comes back”
Therefore, “I urge you to know that you’re going on a mission and so you should squarely face that mission, not only to do it within record time but to see the opportunity you will bring back to Bayero University, Kano”.
Responding, Mal Mustapha Bichi commend the department for organizing the event to celebrate his contribution toward the success of the dept.
He says “I am very much elated that the dept appreciates my service even though it’s our duty to serve the university as a whole. I will be away, but with the current global digital trend I will be virtually presence and I will continue contributing to the dept during and after my programme Insha Allah”.
