Bayero University, Kano students were letdown by the security operation at the gate over what they called “Bias selectivity of who enters the school with or without identification”

This is wontedly happening during morning hours where the security used to deny entry into the school without means of identification, and as a result some students missing classes. But the most exasperating part of the rule is that it’s only applicable to pedestrian students who are passing the gate via footed.

Whilestudents and other people entering through motorcycle and a car pass without any means of identification.

Both the school buses and the commercial yellow buses conveying the students from old campuse to new new site doesn’t request an ID card before entry and used to pass the gate without any identification. If displaying ID card before entry has to do with security reasons then what happen to those entering without identification?
This is the question INFOMEDIA asked one of the school security, who has spoken on condition of anonymity ” We are only operating as directed from the office and we can’t compromise the injunction”

A final year student with the Department of Sociology who is identified as Umar Kabir Danlasan narrates his ordeal to INFOMEDIA “There was a time I left my ID card at home, when I was in level 300 and the security deny me entry into the school despite telling them that I have a test to write, I have to go back and wait for my friend who has a motorcycle to pick me before finally getting an access to enter the school”

On her part, Sadiya Umar Ballah from Faculty of Law, appeal to the school management to reconsider banning students who forget an ID card from entry into the school, adding that it’s causing a serious problem especially to final year students who are missing classes.
