Recall that Universities non-teaching staff embarked on a one week warning strike from 19th to 23rd August, to press the Federal govt to meet their demands.
The action of the staff has affected the Institution in many ways including the general well being of the students especially those living in the Hostels, as Cleaners, Matrons and Nannies also complied with the strike action directives.

Although there’s provision of water and electricity but the Hostels has been in an unkept situation as the toilets smells and the environment littered with toiletries and other kind of dirts.

Some students although come out to tidy up the environment at their leisure time but it has not yield any positive result in the Hostels as some students still mess up with the tidy environment and as a result causing a mutual disagreement and conflict among students.

A level 200 student interviewed by Infomedia narrates her ordeal: “I now knows the value of non academic staff as I always thought the academic are more important but with what is happening recently in the hostel I understood that we need them for a smooth academic activities and also to some of our lecture venues which are always found closed as a result of this strike, we just pray for Allah’s intervention in order to resolved the lingering imbroglio between the FG and the the staff”
