Bayero University, Kano management sets to commences compelling female students to observe decent dressing within it’s campuses today.

The Deputy Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Hajara Usman Sanda made this known while addressing female students at their hostel late Sunday evening. Dr. Sanda expressed the management readiness to fully commences the “Operation Dress Decent” at the campuses, while lamenting the worsening situation of improper dressing among female students at the campuses.

“She said the school management deem it necessary to ensure total and complete compliance of the rule with effect from 30th-September-2019 According to her, she is not asking the students to dress like her nor cover their hair but every dressing revealing ladies shape, crazy trouser, tight trousers and skirt above the kneel has been banned and any student found violating this rule will be punish in accordance with the provision of the law.

Some of the students sees it as welcoming idea and appreciated her for coming herself not by proxy to address the issue. Some expressed mixed feelings over the new enforcement approach of the law “We are grateful you come yourself to address this issue and for not taking the decision to embarrass the students without prior notice” while some of the students also pleaded with her to implement the law from next semester” ma, we are asking you to please consider some of us who don’t have all this dressing and give us the grace of this semester” a student pleaded with her.

In her respond to the plead, she made the students understood that the school is not trying to be wicked to them but to ensure orderliness are follows in the school” I accept your plead and we will overlook this semester but by next semester, we will embarked on a no mercy approach to this issue” The students expressed gladiness for her understanding and the meeting ended successfully.
